Arkey Tresler, 79, Neosho, died Thursday, April 22, 2010, at his home following a two-week illness. He was born June 3, 1930, in Denver, Colorado, to Glen and Vera (Croft) Tresler.
Mr. Tresler moved to Neosho from Fresno, California, 15 years ago. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had worked for several years as a telephone lineman, foreman, supervisor and contractor. He was a lifetime member in American Legion Post #163, Neosho, and the American Red Cross blood drive. He loved being a servant to the needs of the community.
Arkey is survived by his wife, Patricia A. "Pat" (Farrell) Tresler; three children and their spouses, Kip and Nanae of St. Peters, Missouri, Steve and Darla of Fair Grove, Missouri, and Kitty and Craig of Brookings, Oregon; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Warren of Berryville, Arkansas, Lawrence of Clever, Missouri, and Sam of Berryville, Arkansas; and two sisters, Glenna and Trish, both of Bentonville, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by a son, Norlan, and a brother, Ken.
