MRS. EMMA HAENNY SERVICES SATURDAY Services for Mrs. Emma Cornell Haenny, 83, who died Wednesday morning in a Neosho nursing home, will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Parker chapel. The Rev. Charles Davidson will officiate. Burial will be in the Hornet cemetery. The Ruth Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star will conduct a special service at the chapel. Pallbearers will be John C., Howell, David Frisinger, Bill Higginbotham, James Bell, Everett Hoagland and Lonnie Morris.

Emily Lou Griffin Wright, 91, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Friday, December 17, 2021, at her residence in Newbern, Tennessee.
Born Thursday, November 27, 1930 in Dyer County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Emerson E. "Pap" Griffin and the late Vena D. Hancock Griffin. She was retired from Wrangler (All-Wear). Mrs Wright was a member of the Community Church, (formerly First Christian Church), of Dyersburg, Tennessee. She loved watching and attending St. Louis Cardinals games.
Funeral services for Mrs. Wright will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Pastor Jeff Hall and Pastor Randal Butler. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation for Mrs. Wright will be held from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Sharon L. West of Newbern, Tennessee and Cynthia Gibbons of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one step-son, Stephen Andrew "Andy" Wright (Nancy)of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one grandson, Steve Shanafelt (Kelly) of Leicester, North Carolina; six step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren and three step great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, her husband of fifty years, Otis Lynn West and Elza Stephen Wright; one step-daughter, Ellen Kaplan; two brothers, Paul Griffin and Martin Thomas Griffin and two sisters, Elizabeth Woolard and Martha Davidson.

Honoring Mrs. Wright as pallbearers will be Keaton Mulvaney, Brian Nale, Joey Pruitt, J. W. Griffin and Erik Rowan. Ms. Emily requested to feel free to wear your blue jeans, and/or St. Louis Cardinal apparel to her service. Mask wear is requested. The family asks that memorial contributions be directed to the Dyer County Community Cancer Fund, P. O. Box # 1055, Dyersburg, Tennessee or the charity of their choice.
