Mrs. Willie J. West, 67, a Valley resident 45 years, died Saturday in a Phoenix hospital. She came here from Texas. Services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Memory Chapel of A. L. Moore and Sons Mortuary, 333 W. Adams. Burial will be in East Resthaven Cemetery.
Mrs. West is survived by five daughters, Mrs. W. D. Johnson, Mrs. Claude Essley, Mrs. Margery Moore and Mrs. George Boaz, all of Phoenix, and Mrs. Edith Snider of Hamdcn, Conn.; six sons, Duarl, Ed and Cleo of Phoenix. Roy and Jim of Texas, and Thomas of New Mexico; a sister, Mrs. C. H. Johnson, and a brother, Walter Williams, both of Phoenix; and 26 grandchildren - four great-grand-children

Wednesday, March 26, 2008 JAMES HAROLD BLAKE - CROWN POINT, IN James Harold Blake, age 80, of Crown Point, formerly of Highland, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2008. He was a retired of US Steel-Gary Works and a veteran of WWII, U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sadie, step-daughter, Patricia Driggers and brothers: Oscar, Frank, Johnny, and Homer; sisters, Bertie and Mae. James is survived by his daughter, Jamie (James) Siple of Crown Point; Stepson, Roy Ethridge of Michigan; grandchildren: Amanda, Alisha, Steve, Rodney, Tim, Lisa and Melissa; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
