SNYDER ~~ Marvin Scurry West 59, died at his home in Levelland Thursday after a lengthy illness. Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Snyder First Methodist Church with the Reverend Harry Vanderpool, pastor officiating. Burial will be in the Snyder Cemetery, Bolger Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. West was born August 27, 1900 at Dunn, A veteran of World War I, he moved to Levelland 10 years ago.
Survivors include the widow, Christine; two daughters, Mrs. Edith Napers of Spade and Mrs. Marilee Gerik of Pep; three sons, Buddy and Billy, both of Taft, and Jack of El Paso; three sisters, Mrs. C. H. Bell of Stephenville, Mrs. Boyd House of Corpus Christi and Mrs. Al Simmons of Amarillo; three brothers, Ray of Kansas, W. J. of Loraine and Arnton of Big Spring.
Pallbearers R. P. Wesson, H. R. Abernathy, L. E. Wade, Dee Vann, Earl Derryberry and Dave Ammons.
