Note: Various family files also list sons Elias and Tamer. There is no evidence of these children in the files. The Eli listed as living in the general area of Onslow, Jones, & Carteret, NC is Levi's youngest brother, not one of his sons..
********* A search of family files indicates that 'Tamer' is actually Levi's son James 1772, which makes sense if you consider that the script style of the original might have looked that way..

JONES COUNTY, NC
30 Nov 1795 Andrew West, John West of Jones County and LEVI WEST of Onslow County to John Tilman for 30 pounds, 100acres in Jones County contained in 2 patents on WHITEOAK RIVER patented by LEVI WEST 24 Dec 1770 at east side of CRANBERRY POND adjoining land whereon West lived. This part is 25a and the other tract 75a patented 27 Oct 1784. Wts. Thomas West, George West.
Note: Levi West is living in Onslow, NC by 1770. This is the same location reported to be his granddaughter Mary's birthplace. She is the daughter of John West. Andrew, John, and George are all sons of Levi West living in either Jones or Onslow, NC. Here's a little mystery: WHO IS THOMAS WEST? An unknown son who died prior to Levi in 1787? Or the son of one of Levi's brothers, perhaps. Levi's brother Eli is living in NC at this time, too.

23 June 1755 WILLIAM WEST sold 50a to ROBERT WEST

20 Mar 1770 EZIKIEL WEST son of THOMAS WEST of Sussex County DE with wife SARAH WEST sold 80a to JOHN WEST.
Who's Who in the above entries?
Thomas West = Thomas West (d.1708) original patent of West Recovery
Robert West = eldest son of Thomas West (d. 1708), inherited part of W.R. from father
George West = 2nd son of Thomas West (d. 1708), inherited part of W.R. from father
Samuel West = 3rd son of Thomas West (d. 1708), inherited part of W.R. from father
William West = 6th son of Thomas West (d. 1708), inherited brother Samuel's part of W.R. according to father's will after Samuel's death
Thomas West (2) = Thomas, son of Thomas (d.1708) was to inherit brother Robert's part if he died without heirs. Clearly, by 1755, Thomas has acquired land that ends up in the hands of his sons John and Ezekiel. So did Robert die? He appears to be alive in Nov 1755 when land gets resurveyed. So Thomas may have acquired part of W.R. by another means.
Levi West = son of George West who is son of Thomas West (d.1708), inherited part of W.R. from George
Jane Irons = not certain about the Jane Irons' West connection. She is the daughter of Jacob Kollock of Lewes, but she has part of W.R. and land previously owned by George West. Possible remarried widow of a West or unrecorded sale of land.
Ezekiel West = son of Thomas West (2), who is son of Thomas West (d.1708)
