He was born June 22, 1947 and was an active member of Shepherds Chapel for 20 years. Preceded in death by wife, Sallie Jump West; daughter, Tara Michelle West; stepdaughter, Lisa Martin West; stepson, Richard Martin; step grandson, Zack West; parents, Clyde and Wilma West; brother, Tony West, and special friend, Neil Kelley. Survived by daughter, Crystal Trickle, and her husband Wayne; grandchildren, Tara, Collen and Ryan Trickle; great-granddaughter, Peyton Trickle; stepson, Steven Martin; step grandchildren, Alex and Cierra Martin, Brianna Martin Hanselman, Layla, Elijah, Jarrah, and Callie West; brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Ruth West; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dianne and Doug Dalton, Jane Edwards, Freida Reed, Martha and Phil Rachal; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Died: 07-17-2007 Rollie Ernest West (July 17, 2007) Rollie Ernest West of Tellico Plains, passed away at 2:45 a.m., Tuesday, July 17, at Parkwest Medical Center. He was the son of the late Rollie Edward and Tina Dalton West.
He was a member of Brown Hill Presbyterian Church; of Brown Hill Masonic Lodge # 613; a well-known Monroe County saw miller and owner of R.E. West Lumber Company. He served as the Monroe County Superintendent of Roads for 18 years and proudly served in the U.S. Army in World War II with an infantry division in the European Theater. He was 87.
Preceded in death by: wife, Voyce Ruth Irons West; daughter, Marilyn West Britton; sister, Imogene Taylor; brothers, Clyde, Morris and R.W. West.
Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law-Alice and Al Fouts of Tellico Plains; Son and daughter-in-law: Roger and Kathy West of Tellico Plains; Granddaughters-Tammy Britton Barber of St. Simons Island, Ga.; Joy West McGuire of Knoxville; and Summar West of Maryville; Grandsons-Micky Fouts of Tellico P lains; and Jeremy West of Madisonville; Nine great-grandchildren; Sisters-Lucille Witt of Chattanooga; and Margie Brown of Coker Creek; Edna Ruth Zimmerman of Akin, S.C.; Mildred Hamby of Cleveland; Brothers- Donald West of Tellico Plains; and Dale West of Etowah; Several nieces , nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were 8 p.m., Wednesday, in Biereley- Hale Chapel with Dr. Sam Melton officiating. Interment was 11 a.m., Thursday, in Epperson Cem etery. Memorials may be made to Emily Barger at ORNL Federal Credit Union c/o Brian and Mist y Barger. Graveside military honors were provided by VFW Post # 5156. Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Tellico Plains, in charge of arrangements.
