Published in The Courier News, Blytheville, AR, Friday, November 16, 1973. Mrs. Annie Gordon, 85, of Gosnell, widow of J. M. Gordon, died Thursday at her home. Born in Dalark, Arkansas, she had been an area resident since 1943 and was a Baptist.
She leaves seven sons, Arthur Gordon of Memphis, Allen Gordon of Malvern, AR, Oran Gordon and Robert Gordon, both of Bakersville, CA, Marvin Gordon of Cabot and Sam Gordon and Otto Gordon, both of Blytheville; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Walker of Pine Bluff and Mrs. Geneva Wood of Dallas; three brothers, J. W. West of Blytheville, Jack West of Dallas and Willy West of Amarillo; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Porterfield of St. Louis; 23 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Cobb Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. R. A. Henderson and the Rev. Lynn Gordon officiating with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
