Lily Jean Seymour West 81, of Wilmington passed away peacefully with her family at her side Thursday May 24, 2012 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Jean was born July 6, 1930 in Greene County the daughter of the late Lum C. and Lena Turnage Seymour.
She was preceded in death by her brother Raymond Seymour, an infant brother and sister.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, William R. "Bill" West of the home, son Bill West Jr. and wife Beverly Lem of Carolina Beach; daughter Laurel W. Lambert and husband David of Carolina Beach; two grandsons, Colton West of Winnabow and Collin Norris of Carolina Beach; and two great-grandchildren Na'lia and Jada West.

OCR text: October 27, 1989 Tallahassee Democrat Frederick Ormand West, 54, of Tallahassee died Wednesday at University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Va. No services are planned. A native of Kinston, N.C., he was employed by Centel Florida. Survivors include a daughter, Wanda West of Greenville, N.C.; a son, Frederick O. "Rick" West Jr., of Winterville, N.C.; two sisters, Dorothy W. Dausmann and Faye W. Barber, both of Greenville; a brother, William West of Winston-Salem, N.C.; two half-brothers, Lewis West and Paul West, both of Kinston, N.C.; his stepmother, Lucille West of Kinston; and a close friend, Nancy Key of Tallahassee.
