Jacob West, brother to Kendle?
while the documents aren't conclusive, they strongly hint that this Jacob could be the brother of Kendle West and son of William West, d1801. his will is written in 1803 and probate runs from 1804 to 1809, by which time wife Rhoda has remarried to a Jacob Helm. Only child specifically mentioned is Stephen Hill West, although the will suggests that there may be other children. Jacob is not a common name in the Dagsboro Hundred/Baltimore Hundred area in this time frame and Jacob appears in the 1800 census for the first and only time. He probably was born in the early 1770's and certainly before 1775 as shown in the census. He may have been the oldest of the 8 children born to William and second wife Keziah because he is listed first of the eight in William's will and the names aren't in alphabetical order.
