Colonial Families of Delaware, by F. Edward Wright

Thomas West, son of Thomas West, probably m. a dau of John Lynch.
The tax lists of Somerset Co show Thomas West as head of household in Baltimore Hundred, 1723,-1725 and 1730-1740. Living in the same household was Thomas West, Jr. in 1740. [There was one other Thomas West Jr living in the same hundred, i.e. three persons named Thomas West, all living in Baltimore Hundred.]

John Lynch, Sr. died by 21 May 1736 when the admin. account of his estate was submitted by Abraham Lynch. Payments included Thomas West and wife (unnamed representative). {MDAD 15:19}

On 2 July 1755 Thomas West gave 50a. of the tract Wests Recovery to son John West. {WOLR:664}.
NOTE: The Will of Thomas West, combined with the Tax information and Administration of John Lynch, Sr., would suggest that Thomas' daughter-in-law, Mary Brewerton, was originally Mary Lynch and that she remarried after the death of her husband Thomas West, Jr, to a Brewerton prior to 1759.
