Sidney Y West, wife of R Peyton Harrison, Jr took notes regarding her family history. Some of these notes are contained in document labeled "CHARLES TRANSCRIBES SIDNEY" which is most likely her son Charles transcribing her notes.
In regards to the birth of Louis Hullum Harrison the oldest child, Sidney states that he was born in Isiola, Mississippi on the 6th of March 1915. Of course, she meant Isola, Mississippi which is in Humphreys county. Before Humphreys was a county it was a part of the surrounding counties such as Sunflower, Washington, Yazoo. In this time before it is its own county, R Peyton Harrison's aunt Elise and her son Louis Hullum, Jr were living in Isola and Belzoni, respectively.
Newspaper accounts state that Louis Hullum, Jr was on a committee regarding making Humphreys a county. He was appointed by the Governor. R Peyton Harrison's mother was spending time in and out of the institute as she was dealing with an addiction. R Peyton and his sister Louise appear to be in the care of their Aunt Elise. Institute records found by Nate Harrison recently show that Elise listed her home address as being in Isola, MS.
This ties R Peyton Harrison to Isola, MS where his wife noted that she gave birth to his first son, Louis Hullum Harrison.
