Obituary Notice - Western World - June 16, 1966: MRS. LEANDER PANTER DIES, SERVICES FRIDAY
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at one o'clock in the chapel of Schroeder Bros. Mortuary for Gwenolyne Elaine (Mrs. Leander) Panter, who died Wednesday morning in Keizer Hospital following a lingering illness. Mrs. Panter had resided on a dairy ranch on the Coquille Highway with her husband since 1945. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Glenn Davis, First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery. Born January 10, 1914, in Rockland, Idaho, she and Mr. Panter were married April 23, 1942, in Newport, Rhode Island. Mrs. Panter was a member of the Ocean Rebekah Lodge, the Bandon Grange and the Coquille Valley Art Association.
In addition to her widower, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Annabel Luper, San Jose, California; daughter, Mrs. Gwen Butler, Coquille, and a sister, Mildred Hansen, San Jose.

Funeral services for Gwendolyne Elaine Panter, 52, who died Wednesday, June 15, in North Bend, will be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 17, in the Bandon chapel of Schroeder Brothers Mortuary. The Rev. Glenn Davis, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Bandon will officiate. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery, Bandon. Born Jan. 10, 1914, Mrs. Panter had resided on the Panter dairy farm on the Bandon-Coquille Highway since 1945. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, Bandon Grange and the Coquille Valley Art Center.
Survivors are her widower, Leander, Coquille; daughter, Mrs. Gwen Butler, Coquille; mother, Mrs. Annabel Luper [her maiden name] and sister, Mrs. Mildred Hansen, both of San Jose, Calif.
