OCR text: The Honolulu Advertiser Location:Honolulu, Hawaii Issue Date:Sunday, October 17, 1954 - The marriage of Miss Elma Ethel Crofts and Marvin Floyd West took place at 6 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Charles Crofts of Shelley, Idaho. Mr. West's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Eugene West of Darrington, Wash. Elder Fred E. Lunt read the ceremony before an altar, decorated with white gladioli. GIVEN INT MARRIAGE by Dr. Maury E. Wortham, the bride chose a lace gown over white satin, with a fingertip veil. She Carried red roses with ivy. Miss Mary Park, her only attendant, wore red taffeta and carried white chrysanthemums. Paul Keith Bond was best man. ' . : A RECEPTION followed on the lanai of the church. The newly weds are residing at Sol Seaside Ave. The bride entered the US Navy shortly after her graduation in 1952 from Shelley high school. The bridegroom attended Pacific university in Forest Grove, Ore. before entering the service. He plans to continue his studies at Pacific in February. Jt j
