Soloman West b. 1720's NC,SC or VA
Am looking for any information on Soloman's parents and also his son Alexander's birth, death, marriage date to Sara Hawkins, etc. His father was supposed to have had land in Kentucky, it is also believed that he died in Kentucky also.
Soloman West b. 1720 to 1730 in NC, SC or Virginia d. 12-1-1830 Wayne County, KY (yes that does mean he lived to be 100 to 110) m. Isabella Boyd - don't have a date b.? d.?

Soloman was in the American Revolution with NC regiment. Lived in SC for a time, moved to Kentucky in 1802 with a new bride (Martha Norton). He had land holdings there. His son Soloman Jr. married Kitty Norton, Martha's daughter the same year.

Solomon West you are speaking of is Soloman H West b Knox Co Ky 16 Jul 1800 and died 19 Dec 1886 Whitley Co Ky. Solomon and Catherine Criscillis married in Whitley Co Ky 27 Feb 1823. Solomon's parents were Alexander and Sarah Hawkins West my GGGG grandparents.
Children: Allen Russell, James H Jeems, Amanda M Sally, Emmanuel Carter, William Arthur, Isaac Martin, Josephine Isabelle, Armelda J Meda, and Martha Ann Molly.

Edith (Edda) West was the daughter of Alexander West and gr daughter of John West Jr and Mary Madden. We do not have her mother's name yet. Solomon West was Alexander's brother. Solomon was married to Isabella
Boyd and they were my ggggg grandparents. The Alexander West that married Sarah Hawkins was Solomon and Isabella's son. they were also my gggg grandparents.

The Alex West who married Sarah Hawkins was not John's son, Alex, who moved to Georgia; it was John's grandson Alex, a son of the Solomon West who moved from Greenville Dist., SC, to Wayne County, Kentucky.
Sarah was a daughter of William Eaton Hawkins, and there is a power of attorney among the Wayne County, Kentucky, records, proving this.
