Frances Lee Campbell, 91 longtime resident of Muskogee, passed away Saturday evening surrounded by her family. Frances was born August 10, 1922, in Hoyt, Oklahoma, to Robert Fred and Cordia (Cummings) West. Shortly after her birth, her family moved to Whitefield where she attended school. On February 7, 1939 she and Roy Leo Campbell were married in Stigler, Oklahoma. Being a homemaker and caring for her four children were very important to Frances; she also enjoyed sewing, cooking and keeping her grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Nanny", and making them ‘chocolate gravy.' Her passion, however was to tell people about Jesus. Frances' family loved her very much and they wanted to make a special mention that on October 19 she became a ‘great great grandmother' for the second time with the birth of Reid. Frances is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother Roland West, and her sisters, Sue West and Mae West.
