obit for John West b1810:
John was number 4 in a family of 8 children of Isaac West, Jr. and Hannah Russell. He married Eliza Harman in the 1830's and to my knowledge they never had any children.
After the death of his brother, James and his wife, Mariah, their daughter, Olivia, came to live with John and Eliza.

If Janie is buried in this cemetery, it is in an unmarked grave as the cemetery office has no record of her. There are over 200 unmarked graves in this cemetery [per the cemetery office]. There was an "Application for Mortuary Warrant" in Janie's "Widow's Application For A Pension" file that stated Janie died near the town of Buffalo, Leon, Texas at the home of her step-son, Andrew Jackson Sanders, who is buried in this cemetery, giving more credence to her burial here.
Janie was the daughter of John McKinney, the first sheriff of Lavaca County, Texas and Mary Narcissa Moss. She first married Dr. John West on 17 August 1881 in Lavaca County, Texas. They had one son, an infant, who died in 1882 in Milam County, Texas. After John's death Janie married George Philip Sanders on 11 Nov 1893 in Milam County, Texas. To my knowledge they never had any children.
