Charles Larry West Sanders was born April 7, 1941 in Hayti, MO and passed away February 5, 2021 at Southeast Health in Dexter, MO. He was 79 years, 9 months and 29 days of age.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. "Charlie" West, his mother and stepfather, Peggy and J.W. Sanders, and brother, John Sanders.
Larry was united in marriage to his wife Kay Ratliff on May 23, 1963 in Piggott, AR. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed spendibng time with his family, friends, and especially his grandchildren. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal and Ole Miss Rebel fan. He loved watching the History Channel and was into researching genealogy.
He leaves the following to cherish his memory, his wife, Kay Sanders of Dexter, MO, son, Larry K. Sanders of Dexter, daughter, Kristin Sanders of Essex, MO, 2 grandchildren, Kenton Sanders of Gordonville, MO and Abbey (Jaycob) Ellis of Dexter, MO, 2 sisters, Gay Lancastrer of Boynton Beach, FL and Lea (Joe) Carney of Hernando, MS, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 8, 2021 at 12 p.m. in the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti, MO with Richard Wilbanks officiating. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti. Pallbearers were Richard Willbanks, Jaycob Ellis, Kenton Sanders, Dub Pate, Bobby and Brian Irions.
