Funeral service for Mr. Russell Edward West, age 88, of Fayetteville, will be conducted Monday November 30, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home, with Bro. Greg Wiser officiating. Burial will follow beside his wife Janie Shelton West in Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. Mr. West passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Bailey Manor. A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Arthur and Jennie Myers West, was a business owner and US Army veteran of 20 years serving in WW II, the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War and was the recipient of two Bronze Stars. He was a member of the Wells Hill Church of Christ and the VFW.

Funeral services for Mrs. Janie Shelton West, age 80 of Portland, conducted at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. James Andrews and Bro. Richard McWilliams officiating. Burial in Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. Mrs. West passed away Friday evening at Sumner Regional Medical Center.
A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Lillian Sullivan Shelton. She was the owner of several businesses and formerly attended the Wells Hill Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband Russell West of Portland, TN, daughters Debbie Griggs and husband Steve of Fayetteville, Andrea Reed of Portland, TN, and Monica Robinson and husband Tony of Gallatin, TN, grandchildren Baily Robinson, Victoria Robinson, Andrew Reed, Rachel Reed, Brad Cowan and Chase Cowan, and sisters Edith Mitchell of Fayetteville, TN and Mable Woodard of Tampa, FL.
