Some have Mary marrying second William Burton, but the administration of Benjamin's Estate says she was the wife of John Burton, Jr. (widow of the late Benjamin West) including Scharf's History of Delaware Vol. II, pg 1269 and 1270: George Frame, son of the emigrant George, married Elizabeth Paynter, aunt of Gov. John Paynter, who bore him two sons, Robert and Paynter Frame. Robert died at the early age of 32, his widow, whose maiden name was Mary Vaughan, first married a Mr. West (Benjamin), and bore him one child, Elizabeth. After his death she married Wm. Burton (correct Burton is John, Jr.) and had 4 children, Dr. William Burton, late Gov. of Delaware, John Hammond, a well-known surveyor and Lydia and Carolina. After the death of Mr. Burton, she became the wife of Mr. Frame and bore him 3 children, Elizabeth Paynter, who married James Anderson of Georgetown; George; Robert, who later became Attorney General of Delaware. Mrs. Frame died soon after her husband, and the children were reared by their uncle Paynter Frame, who had no children of his own. Anyone interested in the Frame family will find this section of Scharf's History quite informative on the prominence and accomplishments of this family..

October 2- An order was this day sent to George Frame Esquire Sheriff of Sussex County to receive from Lewis West, John M. West and Henry F. Hall seventy two rifles and upon their delivery to cancel the bonds entered into the above named individuals for the preservation of said public arms. The Rifles were Issued to a Company Jn Lewes which has since been disbanded.
