J.V. West, age 85, of Lenoir, died Sunday, April 1, 2018 at his residence. He was born September 25, 1932 in Wilkes County to the late James Vestal and Janie Goulds West.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert West and DeWitt West; two sisters, Margaret Barnett and Della Barkley; and a son-in-law, Randy Annas.
Mr. West had worked as a supervisor in the furniture industry and was a member of Elk Creek Baptist Church in Ferguson.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Staton West of the home; one son, Barry West and wife Teresa of Hays, NC; one daughter, Judy Warren and husband Keith of Sawmills; three grandchildren, Kendall Duncan and husband Chad, and Brian Annas, all of Sawmills, and Karmon West of Hays, NC; and three great-grandchildren, Ragan Annas, Rylan Annas, and Addison Duncan.
